    My name is Taylor Kikuchi and I am a UX/CX Designer & Design Strategist based in Portland, OR. I love working on projects that include:

    Designed & rebranded the new Copious website.

    • WIREFRAMING

      Designed low and high-fidelity wireframes and mockups, creating interactive prototypes using InVision

    • BRANDING

      Updated brand logo, colors, and typography to represent their new direction as "leaders of CX design"

    • USER FLOW MAPPING

      Used Whimsical.co to create comprehensive user flow maps and identify any customer journey pain points

    • QA TESTING

      Worked with development teams to identify and resolve bugs and ensure that final builds remained consistent with our original designs

  • EventBuilder

    We partnered with EventBuilder to design their new webinar software product, dashboard, and website.

    • WIREFRAMING

      Designed low and high-fidelity wireframes for the software product and marketing website, creating interactive prototypes using InVision

    • USER FLOW MAPPING

      Used Whimsical.co to create comprehensive user flow maps for both the software product and website

    • PRODUCT DESIGN

      Partnered with subject matter experts and potential customers to design and develop a webinar product unlike any other

    • QA TESTING

      Worked with development teams to identify bugs and ensure that final builds remained consistent with our original designs

    Capstone project for my MBA in Design Strategy at California College of the Arts

    • CUSTOMER RESEARCH

      Conducted comprehensive ethnographic observations and interviews with industry experts and potential customers to understand the potential market

    • COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

      Identified potential competitors and threats, creating a series of steps for mitigating those threats and maintaining a competitive advantage in the future

    • APPLICATION DESIGN

      Designed the Amelia mobile application in Sketch and interactive prototype using InVision

    • RAPID PROTOTYPING

      Created multiple iterations of the prototype and showcased the final design at the California College of the Arts Venture Show in May 2018

  • POP-UP EXPERIENCE DESIGN

    Flourish

    Flourish is the floral shop of the future where customers use floral teas to pick the perfect custom bouquet for every occasion.

    • ETHNOGRAPHIC OBSERVATIONS

      Observed and recorded current floral shop interactions, identifying pain points and positive experiences.

    • MICRO-PILOT

      Tested our concept via a micro-pilot in San Francisco to see what worked and what could be improved.

    • 1:1 INTERVIEWS

      Interviewed 50+ potential customers to better understand their needs and desires when shopping for flowers.

    • POP-UP DESIGN/BUILD

      Designed and built a functioning pop-up shop and exhibited this shop at California College of the Arts in 2017.

    Artifact

    Artifact is a board game that connects aging elders with younger generations through the use of thought-provoking and creative interactions, enabling minds of all ages to learn from one another through interactive storytelling.

    • GAME DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

      Designed the game cards, pieces, and questions/prompts for gameplay

    • WEB DESIGN

      Designed the accompanying website and digital UI to accompany the game

    Envisioning the Future of Work/Life Balance

    Imagine, it's the year 2030 and the American workday is more hectic than ever. Your company, Blissly, is interested in earning the new "Chill Certification" in an effort to keep your employees relaxed, yet productive.

    • Workshop

      I facilitated a strategic foresight workshop in conjunction with this video to discuss the pros and cons with this type of certification, as well the implications of the need for work/life balance in the years to come.
